Why WAN?

The WAN needs to be seen as part of the total telecoms solution in terms of developing an accurate asset register, monitoring usage, understanding network provider bids and measuring the impact of any new technology upon it – VOIP, SIP, FMC etc.

Doesn't this only have relevance if I am negotiating a new contract?

It does not matter whether you have just signed a contract, are half way through the contract period or it is about to come to an end. Chances are you have multiple contracts in place with a number of suppliers. Whatever the position we will help you manage them; saving you money, ensuring you are getting the services you contracted for and benchmarking their operation. When they do run out we will work with you to set up new forms of contract that put you in a much stronger position in dealing with your suppliers.

Will I lose control?

We work for you supporting your telecoms team. We  do all the donkey work to identify savings and service improvements and then present them to you to consider. You remain in control as we will only implement what you want us to. Far from losing control, the improved transparency and governance puts you and your team in absolute control, so reducing overall business risks.

How does it work?

We will set up a dedicated team to work with those within your team responsible for telecoms to understand your current set up and future plans. We will then gather from your team and the network providers a full picture of your networks so that we can create an accurate asset and contracts register. We will run billing information against this to identify inaccuracies and opportunities to claim back overpayments etc.

On an ongoing basis we will feed all relevant data into the system and benchmark the services received, reporting back to you on opportunities for further savings and service improvements. We are constantly reviewing technology and rates for all our clients and will ensure you are aware of the latest movements in the market and help you to answer ‘what if' questions. When the time comes to renegotiate contracts we will work with you to ensure that the new contract is framed in such a way as to ensure it provides you with the best value for money on a continuous basis.

What information and resources do you need from me to set up?

We need copies of the recent invoices from your suppliers, current contracts, site address lists and information covering alarm lines, disaster recovery links etc. We need to meet those responsible for the various telecom services and will have some questions to ask. A lot of information we can get directly from the suppliers however and will normally need little help from your team before we come back with an assessment report.

Why is it a continuous service rather than a one off study?

Your telecoms estate and service provision will be constantly changing. Our managed service keeps track of these changes and also new/cheaper offerings in the marketplace to ensure that you continue to drive down costs and get the service levels you have contracted for. Experience has taught us that one off studies only achieve limited objectives and benefits obtained quickly degrade.

Do you have global coverage?

Our software is designed to deal with telecom suppliers wherever they are based and we have experience in undertaking international assignments. We can deliver a global service but we appreciate that you may have strategic partners you prefer us to work with who understand your business better and/or have the expertise you require to ensure you get a complete service in all locations.

What is the financial deal?

In order to ensure that we align our commercial offering to your needs we will firstly need to hold a workshop for the relevant members of both your team and ours. The purpose of this workshop is to understand your current business needs with regards to Telecoms Lifecycle Management and where we can add value. We will then discuss commercial terms in order to structure a financial deal that is acceptable to both parties.
