Telecoms Asset Management

This module allows you to simultaneously interrogate your existing telecoms network assets across multiple network providers. Through simple filters you can understand the expenditure of all assets at a location, cost centre, line type, or at a specific user or group of users. You can also filter by many different fields, including: network provider, asset status, type, properties, purpose, etc.

The ability to view assets in this way enables you to consider ‘what if’ scenarios such as the closure of a site, the disposal of a business element, the change of a specific service type within the network such as ISDN 2e to Broadband or all services with no usage for a period greater than three months.

At all times you have access to a Data Analyst who can perform ‘what if’ analysis on your behalf. The Data Analyst, where required, will work with one of IntelligentComms’ Consultants to consider external elements such as potential technology changes that could provide improved cost reduction.

What does it cover?
  • The type, quantity and status of your service – for example whether ceased, restarted and billed, active or inactive
  • Billing addresses and installation addresses
  • Information on the contract term and on any penalties for early termination
  • Service group – for example whether fixed line, mobile or data
  • Service type – for example, with fixed line services, whether ISDN 2e, ISDN 30e or Analogue
  • Relevant maintenance costs for lines and equipment
  • Details of location, department and cost centre
  • Equipment rental information such as one-off costs or customer options
  • Details of fixed or variable tariffs and of installation date
  • Supplier details and activation/cease dates for CPS/WLR
  • For fixed line – DDI ranges and quantities, line quantity, telemarketing deliver to number
  • For mobile – details on handset types, staff/department allocated to, SIM numbers, IMEI numbers, PUK code
  • For WAN – details on router ID, router type, QoS enabled, bandwidth size
Once we have created your Asset Register, you can maintain it on an ongoing basis using our Management tool. This allows you to update the Register with new orders; adds, moves and changes; and ceased services - giving you a complete and up-to-date view of your communications status at any given time. It also enables you to make better-informed business decisions - for example, to understand which services would be affected if you decided to close a specific office, or to run a ‘what if’ scenario based on moving from ISDN2 to Broadband.
